MAKE IT MONDAY! (glue on a canvas)

So we have decided that Mondays will be a day where we will share something we have made and tell you how you can do it yourself!! Today, we will share a fun and easy paint project...

WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!



So, one night my (Beth Ann) amazing friend Amanda came over and we decided that we wanted to make crafts.  She was telling me about an easy project she saw online and we decided to try it ourselves!

All you need is:
1. glue gun
2. pencil
3. paint canvas
4. acrylic paint
5. paint brush (various sizes)
6. cup of water
7. napkin

Process:
1. Plug your glue gun in and let it heat up. Pull your canvas out and use your pencil to draw what you will trace over with the glue gun. (You can skip this step if you just want to go straight to the glue.) I chose to draw an anchor because I am in a nautical phase right now.
2. Use the glue gun to trace over what you drew.



3. Let it dry for 20 minutes.
4. Get your paint, large brush, and palate ready and paint away on your canvas over the glue. I chose to do it all in teal. It may take a few coats to cover the glue completely. (I forgot to take a picture of this step.. sorry!)
5. You can leave it like that because it looks super awesome or you can keep going and use text! You can use a favorite poem, Bible verse, or song lyrics I chose one of my favorite verses:

"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure." Hebrews 6:19a

6. Use a small paint brush to write your text. If you have a stencil it would really help. I decided to repeat the Bible verse over and over in different fonts.
