TRUE LIES

  • "It doesn't matter..."
  • "I need to have it all together.. all the time."
  • "If I don't think about it, the problem will go away."
  • "I am not good enough for that. So & so would be better."

...These are truths that I had let myself believe for so long.  But who's truths are they? The problem with deception is that often, you don't know you are accepting it. An imposter of truth has taken form in your mind and you don't even realize it.

We always hear "Then, you will know the truth and the truth will set you free."  We hear it wrongly quoted in media and taken out of context in movies. Does the world even know that this verse is found in John 8:32 when Jesus is telling His disciples the key to freedom? The message paraphrase says that "if the Son sets you free, you are free through and through."

Are the truths that you are believing for your life keeping you in chains? If so, the truths you are accepting are imposters from the enemy.  Satan is the father of lies. His language is lies. The Bible (mssg version) also says "He was a killer from the very start. He couldn’t stand the truth because there wasn’t a shred of truth in him. When the Liar speaks, he makes it up out of his lying nature and fills the world with lies." He knows where to get you! Even if you are a child of the King, satan knows what lies to make you believe as truth.

So, who's voice are you listening to today? While satan is LIAR, God is TRUTH. Everything He says is true. It is time to study who God says you are by learning His Word. Whenever the enemy confronts you and aims to deceive you (which he will try to do over and over again)... remember who God says you are. Punch satan in the face with God's truths. The devil's truth will not free you. The world's truth will not free you. Your truth will not free you. Only God's truth will set you free.
